La Dolce Vita – Hotel
Photoshoot
THE PROCESS
Challenge
The challenge was to visually evoke the distinct personality and cinematic essence of each space, creating a cohesive narrative that felt both luxurious and nostalgic, yet playful and full of charm.
Solution
The first step was to identify the core theme of each room—whether it was inspired by a sultry Italian drama, a carefree romantic comedy, or an avant-garde art film. This cinematic inspiration had to shine through in every detail, from lighting to set design, ensuring that each room transported viewers back to a specific moment in time, capturing the mood and aesthetic of the iconic films that shaped the era.
SHOWCASE
Lighting was a key element in bringing out the mood of each film genre. To echo the dramatic lighting of 1960s and 1970s cinema, I opted for a mix of soft, warm lighting to create a romantic and glamorous atmosphere in some rooms, while in others, we used high-contrast, dramatic lighting setups reminiscent of noir-inspired films. The goal was to enhance the luxurious feel of the spaces while maintaining a vintage authenticity that fit the era.
SHOWCASE
My Role
I had the rewarding challenge of bringing each room’s unique cinematic inspiration to life. I was able to weave together a visual narrative that not only celebrated the hotel’s luxurious atmosphere but also immersed viewers in the retro cinematic world.
The Final Product
The resulting images captured the essence of each room not only reflected a luxurious and distinct personality but also transported viewers to the glamorous cinematic worlds of the 1960s and 1970s. The photoshoot successfully brought to life the hotel’s brand identity, highlighting the blend of vintage sophistication and modern indulgence that defines the experience of staying at La Dolce Vita Hotel.
